Overview of the summer camp

Students spend three days learning the basics of illustration using a variety of techniques (traditional pen/pencil and digital) May 24-26. Undergraduate students, graduate students and early career professionals (ECPs) are welcome to apply to this workshop (aka “camp”) – beginners to experts will learn something! No tent required! But if you’re feeling adventurous, the team will provide you with camp site options. Travel (airfare, mileage, hotel, etc.) not included, but housing and accommodation information is available here.

Understand foundational illustration techniques of arthropods

Digital Technologies

Learn or expand knowledge of digital illustration software and drawing techniques

Observational Skills

Receive hands-on feedback on illustration techniques and built-in practice time to improve your observational skill in the heart of the Flint Hills
